Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use the mtc. website, whatever device or assistive technology you rely on. We build and maintain the site with accessibility in mind, and we keep working at it.

Standards we aim for

This site aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard most widely used to judge whether a website is usable by people with a range of access needs.

What we do

Pages use proper headings and landmarks, so they work with screen readers and keyboard navigation.
Images that carry meaning have text alternatives.
Text can be resized and the layout reflows on smaller screens without losing content.
We check colour contrast against the WCAG AA thresholds.
Fonts are served from our own site, so rendering never depends on a third party.

Where we fall short

Some older blog posts, and some content embedded from other services such as video players, may not fully meet these standards. We fix issues as we find them, and we would rather hear about a problem than leave it unnoticed.
